Osteoporosis - Scoliosis - Sports Medicine
The Osteoporosis Clinic at OIO combines both screening and testing for osteoporosis with a focus on prevention as well as treatment of the disease. We use a full-bed DEXA scanner which is considered the most accurate method of bone density testing. Treatment for patients with a low bone density scan, can be initiated the same day.
Services are provided by Todd Otto, PA-C, Certified Physician Assistant in conjunction with James M. Nieman, M.D., Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Licensed Clinical Densotometrist.
The Orthopaedic Institute of Ohio, Inc. also offers Scoliosis clinics at OIO’s main location in Lima. Dr. O’Neill, Board Certified in orthopaedic surgery and fellowship trained in spinal surgery, is holding these clinics the first and third Monday mornings by appointment only. This clinic is for early diagnosis and treatment of juvenile and adolescent Scoliosis patients.
Dr. O’Neill works closely with all school nurses and will be happy to see any patient for whom there may be a question of Scoliosis. If you have any questions regarding this clinic or to set up an appointment with Dr. O’Neill, please call our main office at 419-222-6622.
